Allcargo Logistics strengthens multimodal supply chains from Pune, connecting manufacturers in the Chakan MIDC belt to more than 1,28,000 locations nationwide
Allcargo Logistics said on Monday its logistics network in the Chakan MIDC industrial belt is supporting manufacturers in one of India’s largest automotive and engineering clusters. The company, which recently completed a restructuring of its domestic supply chain business, said its Pune operations connect shipments to more than 1,28,000 locations across India through road and air transport.
Developed by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation, the Chakan industrial area hosts several large automotive and engineering manufacturers and is a key node in Maharashtra’s manufacturing supply chain.
“Our presence in Chakan MIDC has been a cornerstone of our commitment to Maharashtra’s industrial development,” said Ketan Kulkarni, managing director and chief executive officer, Allcargo Logistics. “We understand the logistical complexities of large industrial clusters, and through innovative solutions, we empower businesses to expand their reach and enhance operational efficiencies.”
Nationwide Connectivity From Pune Hub
Daily road services from Pune link the cluster to major industrial centres including Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad, while air cargo operations enable faster deliveries to smaller cities and remote markets, the company said.
Industrial clusters such as Chakan rely on fast logistics to transport critical components, particularly in the automotive sector where delays can disrupt production and servicing networks.
Allcargo said it also operates consolidated “milk-run” transportation services in the region to reduce logistics costs for suppliers and manufacturers, while integrating electric vehicles as part of its sustainability initiatives.
The company’s domestic supply chain business includes express distribution, air freight and e-commerce logistics services across India.
