Service goes live at CSMIA Terminal 2, enabling passengers to order essentials via app with doorstep delivery inside airport premises
Adani Airport Holdings (AAHL), in partnership with Blinkit, has introduced India’s first in-terminal quick commerce delivery service at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), Mumbai. The service, now live at Terminal 2 (domestic departures), marks Blinkit’s entry into high-traffic transit hubs and expands its reach beyond residential neighbourhoods into airport ecosystems.
Quick commerce platform Blinkit said the move is part of its broader expansion into dense, high-footfall locations. The initiative enables travellers to access rapid deliveries within airport premises, extending the company’s on-demand retail model into travel infrastructure for the first time.
“Today we’re launching Blinkit inside the Mumbai Airport! Specifically Terminal 2 (domestic departures) of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport,” Albinder Dhindsa, the platform’s chief executive officer, said in a social media post.
Dhindsa also confirmed that Blinkit has partnered with Adani Airports. Under this collaboration, passengers can order from a catalogue of over 2,500 products, including phone chargers, books, gifts and other essentials through the Blinkit app. Mumbai airport has become the first airport globally to offer such a service.
“The orders will be delivered within the terminal by a dedicated team of walkers,” Dhindsa mentioned.
According to the partnership details shared by AAHL, passengers will be able to receive deliveries across boarding gates, lounges, food courts and partner outlets within the terminal. The service is fulfilled by trained on-ground personnel to ensure quick turnaround times without disrupting passenger movement.
“Mumbai, 1 April 2026: For travellers rushing through departures, a forgotten charger, a quick snack or even a bottle of water can now be a tap away.”
AAHL said the initiative is aimed at enhancing the airport experience through digital integration. “Adani Airports is reimagining how digital services can enhance the airport experience. Bringing app-based convenience into the terminal allows passengers to make better use of their time and raises the overall service standard. This is a step towards building more responsive and passenger-centric airports,” said the company spokesperson.
The service includes travel essentials such as electronics, snacks, books, baby care products and personal items. It also covers permissible liquids like packaged water, cold beverages and juices, sourced from approved in-terminal inventory in line with airport security norms.
For Blinkit, the initiative marks an extension of its quick commerce model into high-frequency transit environments. The company added 211 net new stores in Q3 FY26, taking its total store count to 2,027, and is targeting 3,000 stores by March 2027.
Blinkit’s net order value stood at Rs 13,300 crore in the December quarter, up 120.9 per cent from Rs 6,020 crore in the same period last year (FY25). Revenue rose sharply by 776.1 per cent to Rs 12,256 crore from Rs 1,399 crore in Q3 FY25, supported by its shift to an inventory-led model.
