Decathlon Launches Decathlon Pulse To Drive Innovation & Growth

The new subsidiary focuses on expanding the sports ecosystem and investing in sustainable ventures

Decathlon has announced the launch of Decathlon Pulse, a wholly-owned subsidiary designed to drive new growth avenues and strengthen Decathlon’s impact on society through innovative sports and wellness solutions. This strategic initiative highlights Decathlon’s commitment to broadening its footprint and enhancing its core offerings.

Operating independently within the Decathlon Group, Decathlon Pulse will pursue three key strategies for long-term growth. First, it will incubate and scale new business concepts that complement Decathlon’s primary products, thereby enriching the company’s overall value proposition. Second, the subsidiary will invest in forward-thinking companies within the sports ecosystem to promote sustainable business models. Third, Decathlon Pulse plans to acquire pioneering sports brands and distributors that set new industry standards with their innovative approaches.

In recent years, Decathlon has invested nearly 400 million euros in strategic partnerships, including startups and major players like AllTricks and Bergfreunde. Decathlon Pulse, under the leadership of CEO Franck Vigo and Chairwoman Barbara Martin Coppola, will further these efforts. Coppola, also the CEO of Decathlon Global, emphasized that Decathlon Pulse will complement the parent company’s goal of enhancing sporting experiences worldwide.
