KFC India Unveils Healthier ‘Smarter Indulgence’ Menu Range

KFC India Launches ‘Smarter Indulgence’ Menu with Healthier Options

KFC India adds grilled chicken, plant-based burger and low-fat recipes under its ‘Smarter Indulgence’ menu to promote balanced, sustainable eating

KFC India has rolled out a new set of menu items under the “Smarter Indulgence” label. The changes include new products, ingredient adjustments, and alternative cooking methods aimed at providing lower-fat and more sustainable options for consumers.

Among the new offerings is the Chatpata Chana Burger, featuring a plant-based protein patty with eggless mayonnaise, a seeded bun, and tangy sauce. The company has also introduced Smoky Grilled Chicken, in which chicken legs are cooked using a grilling method to reduce fat content.

Other updates include a whole wheat bun option for the Zinger Burger range, reduced-fat mayonnaise with around 7 per cent less fat compared to the standard variant, and the use of sustainable rice bran oil, which is rich in unsaturated fats.

“From new menu items designed for balanced eating experiences to smarter ingredient swaps and more sustainable cooking techniques – each option is designed to make indulgence wholesome, without ever compromising on the bold, finger lickin’ good taste our fans know and love,” said Moksh Chopra, General Manager, KFC India and Partner Countries.

KFC India said these items are currently being tested in different markets across the country. The company operates as part of Yum! Brands, which runs over 26,000 restaurants globally. The Smarter Indulgence range is currently being tested across different markets, with the Chatpata Chana Burger already available at more than 1,300 KFC restaurants in India for dine-in, takeaway, and delivery through the KFC app, website, and major food delivery platforms.
