Heritage Foods Rejects Quality Allegations, Cites 25-stage Testing Protocol

Heritage Foods Q3 Profit Falls 19.8% Despite 8% Revenue Growth

Vice Chairperson Nara Bhuvaneswari responds to criticism from the YSR Congress Party over alleged links to ghee supplies for Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams

Nara Bhuvaneswari, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of Heritage Foods, said the company’s stated mission is to provide fresh and nutritious dairy products to households while supporting dairy farmers. She said the company follows stringent quality control procedures to maintain product standards.

Her comments come amid criticism from the opposition YSR Congress Party, which has reportedly sought to link the Naidu family-promoted company to Indapur Dairy, a supplier of ghee to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.

In a video posted on X on Thursday night, Bhuvaneswari rejected allegations concerning the quality of Heritage products. She said each product undergoes 25 quality checks before reaching consumers, overseen by more than 500 professionals. The company operates across nine states and works with nearly 300,000 farmers, following what she described as principles of transparency, fair pricing and timely payments.

Bhuvaneswari said the company, which began as a Rs 4 crore venture, has expanded into a Rs 4,000 crore enterprise without compromising on quality standards.

According to her, the company’s hygiene, safety and quality protocols exceed statutory requirements and are subject to continuous monitoring by specialised teams. She also invited members of the public to independently review the company’s processes and verify its claims.
