Jacques Lebel will succeed Aseem Kaushik, who will take over as Chairman of L’Oreal India
Jacques Lebel has been appointed as the new Country Manager for L’Oreal India, effective 1 October 2025. Lebel will succeed Aseem Kaushik, who will take over as Chairman of L’Oreal India.
Media reports noted that Kaushik’s elevation reflects the company’s deepened commitment to India’s evolving market. In his new role, Kaushik will focus on enhancing corporate reputation, steering public affairs, deepening stakeholder engagement, and driving corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Lebel, who previously served as Director General for L’Oreal Consumer Products in Mexico, began his journey with the company as a junior project manager. He later moved to Procter & Gamble, where he led the company’s mass channel toothpaste expansion across over 10 new markets as Senior Assistant Brand Manager. He then joined AB InBev and rose to the role of Country Director for France.
Kaushik, a L’Oréal veteran of 27 years, began his career in the Consumer Products Division in India in 1995, playing a key role in establishing and expanding field operations. He later held several leadership roles within the Professional Products Division, where he was instrumental in shaping India’s modern salon industry and building a sustainable business model with key partners.
India continues to be a strategic priority for L’Oréal, with brands like Maybelline New York, Garnier, and L’Oréal Paris leading its portfolio. In FY25, L’Oréal India reported a 14 per cent rise in sales, reaching Rs 5,685 crore, with net profit standing at Rs 488 crore.
