Sky Gold and Diamonds, a listed business-to-business gold jewellery manufacturer, is looking to invest more heavily in international infrastructure and use strategic pricing to solidify its global presence as it looks to increase the share of exports in its overall business.

“We choose to be prudent with our guidance because our long-term aspiration is to become the largest global jewellery manufacturer. Sipani added that exports contribute 12 per cent to the overall sales currently. “We are expecting that exports should be close to 20 per cent of the overall sales,” the CFO noted, while adding the company is focusing more the overseas business because it has a better return on capital employed (ROCE) since the overall receivable days for the export business is better versus the local business.

“We still are at the tip of the iceberg. We have a lot of things to capture overseas. So that is our key focus. We have a big area right from United Kingdom to Malaysia, Singapore. There are a lot of untapped potential, which we still have to explore,” said Akash Talesara, President, Sales and Business Development.
