Swiggy Introduces Smart Links To Amplify Restaurant Orders Via Digital Presence

The company highlights that Bolt powers more than one in every 10 Food delivery orders delivered by Swiggy

Powered by a network of over 45 thousand restaurant brands, Swiggy, an on-demand convenience platform, has scaled its quick food delivery service, Bolt by Swiggy, making it operational in over 500 cities across India. Started in October 2024, Bolt has surged across metros as well as tier two and three towns, the company said.

Swiggy highlighted that in less than six months of its introduction, Bolt, With over 47 lakh dishes spanning 26 diverse cuisines, already powers more than one in every 10 Food delivery orders delivered by the company.

“What makes it click is not just speed, but the operations behind the scenes that make it all work. Bolt fits into the way people live today. You are hungry, you want something now, and you do not want to compromise. We built Bolt for that moment. Seeing it scale to 500-plus cities in just a few months has been incredible. And this is just the beginning,” highlighted Rohit Kapoor, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Swiggy Food Marketplace.

Bolt combines smart backend optimisation with a curated menu of quick-serve, high-demand items that have minimal or no preparation time. With a delivery radius limited to two kilometre (km), the service aims to maintain quality while ensuring reliability. The company added that quick service restaurant (QSR) brands like KFC, McDonald’s, Subway, Faasos, Burger King and Curefoods are already live on Bolt

For Swiggy, the format is a powerful consumer acquisition and retention lever, with new users acquired through Bolt showing four to six per cent higher monthly retention than the platform average.
