Tata Group company Voltas has crossed the one million air conditioner sales mark in the first quarter of the current financial year (FY27), strengthening its dominant leadership position in the Indian Room Air Conditioner(RAC) market.
In an exchange filing, the company said that it undertook a series of strategic initiatives over the past year to strengthen its market proposition and accelerate growth. The company refreshed its product portfolio with a clearly defined segmentation strategy, offering differentiated propositions across premium, mid and value segments, the official communication added.
“Crossing the one million sales milestone within the first three months of a financial year is a significant achievement for Voltas. Achieving this landmark in record time reflects the trust that consumers have placed in our brand and the strength of the execution delivered by our teams and channel partners across the country,” stated Mukundan Menon, Managing Director, Voltas.
For the quarter ended 31 March 2026, Voltas recorded consolidated total income of Rs 4,930 crore, compared to Rs 4,847 crore in the same period last year. The Profit Before Tax (PBT) stood at Rs 185 crore as compared to Rs 343 crore in Q4FY25.
The company posted a net profit of Rs 113 crore compared to Rs 236 crore last year. For the twelve months ended 31 March 2026, Voltas reported a consolidated total income of Rs 14,483 crore, compared to Rs 15,737 crore in the same period last year. Profit Before Tax (PBT) stood at Rs 557 crore versus Rs 1,191 crore in the corresponding period last year. Net profit for the period stood at Rs 370 crore compared to Rs 834 crore last year.
