DRRK Foods Enters Horeca, Targets Rs 100 Cr Boost

Renowned exporter of Crown Basmati Rice sets sights on India’s professional kitchens with strategic expansion into hotels, restaurants, and catering services

 

DRRK Foods, the legacy brand behind the globally recognised Crown Basmati Rice, has announced its strategic entry into India’s thriving Horeca (Hotel, Restaurant, Catering) sector. With a robust international presence spanning over 60 countries and an annual turnover exceeding Rs 1,000 crore, the company now aims to bolster its domestic footprint by targeting key metropolitan markets including Delhi NCR, Chennai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad.
Through this expansion, DRRK Foods is looking to generate Rs 100 crore in new domestic revenue by offering premium, consistent-quality rice tailored to the specific needs of institutional buyers and professional kitchens. The move comes as India’s hospitality and catering ecosystem witnesses rapid growth, evolving consumer tastes, and a post-pandemic shift towards quality-focused sourcing.

To support its ambitious growth strategy, DRRK Foods is also investing in a new, state-of-the-art processing facility in Madhya Pradesh. Currently exporting over 80 per cent of its premium rice to high-demand markets across the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia – and with growing traction in the US, Europe, and Australia – DRRK Foods is among India’s most respected rice exporters. The company is also expanding its domestic retail footprint via modern trade, e-commerce, and quick commerce platforms, ensuring Crown rice remains easily accessible to quality-conscious Indian households.
