Strong festive-season sales and growing premiumisation drive record quarterly earnings for India’s spirits major
India’s Radico Khaitan reported a surge in quarterly profit on Thursday, propelled by robust demand for its higher-end liquor, reporting a 61.6 per cent year-on-year rise in total comprehensive net income to Rs 153.7 crore for the quarter ending 31 December 2025, up from Rs 95.5 crore a year ago, the company said.
Net sales rose 19.5 per cent to Rs 1,546.7 crore with Ebitda climbing 44.9 per cent to Rs 265.4 crore, expanding margins to 17.2 per cent from 14.2 per cent in the same period last year. Total IMFL (Indian Made Foreign Liquor) volume grew 16.7 per cent to 9.75 million cases, led by strong festive-season demand and premium segment growth.
The Prestige and Above portfolio, which now accounts for 73.6 per cent of total IMFL sales value, rose 29.4 per cent in revenue to Rs 838.3 crore, with volumes up 25.9 per cent to 4.62 million cases. This reflects the ongoing premiumisation trend in India’s spirits market, driven by the country’s growing affluent consumer base, which continues to splurge on premium items ranging from fine liquor to jewellery and luxury housing.
Chairman Dr Lalit Khaitan noted, “The Indian spirits sector continues to exhibit strong momentum, underpinned by steady demand and an accelerating shift towards premiumisation.” He also attributed the company’s performance to “favourable consumer trends, premium portfolio positioning, and stable raw material costs.” Managing Director Abhishek Khaitan highlighted the firm’s recent luxury launches, including Rampur 1943 Virasat Indian Single Malt, and its expanding presence in the on-trade channel.
For the nine-month period, Radico Khaitan posted comprehensive income of Rs 423.8 crore, up 67.6 per cent year-on-year, on revenues of Rs 4,546.7 crore. The company’s portfolio includes iconic brands such as Rampur, Jaisalmer, and Magic Moments, with products sold in over 100 countries from its distilleries in Rampur, Sitapur, and Aurangabad.
Shares of Radico Khaitan Limited ended the day at Rs 2,997 on the NSE, up Rs 164.60 or 5.81 per cent.
