Coffee-first QSR brand expands North India footprint with new outlet on Fatehabad Road
Third Wave Coffee has expanded its presence in North India with the launch of its first café in Agra, marking a strategic entry into one of Uttar Pradesh’s key tourism-driven markets. The new outlet, located in Tajganj on Fatehabad Road, takes the brand’s national footprint to over 220 cafés, including 66 across North India.
The move underscores the company’s continued focus on tapping high-potential urban centres while strengthening accessibility across regions. Agra’s blend of cultural heritage and strong tourist inflow offers a compelling opportunity for the brand to engage both local consumers and travellers seeking premium café experiences.
Positioned in the bustling Tajganj precinct, the café has been designed as a community-led space catering to evolving consumer preferences. The menu features signature brews, single-origin coffees, artisanal bakes, and curated food offerings aimed at delivering a differentiated, experience-driven format.
“Our entry into Agra marks an exciting step in our journey as we continue to expand into culturally vibrant and fast-evolving cities across India,” said Rajat Luthra. “We see strong potential in Agra’s growing café culture and are excited to introduce our perspective on coffee and community-driven experiences to the city.”
The café also integrates a technology-enabled ordering system via the brand’s app, enabling customers to pre-order and access personalised services.
Founded in 2016 by Sushant Goel, Anirudh Sharma, and Ayush Bathwal, the company has rapidly scaled its operations nationwide, emerging as one of India’s fastest-growing coffee QSR chains.
Looking ahead, Third Wave Coffee plans to open 120 additional cafés across the country by the end of the fiscal year. Backed by its Food Innovation Lab and state-of-the-art roastery, the brand aims to drive consistent quality while further shaping India’s evolving specialty coffee culture.
