Third Wave Coffee, Schweppes India Stir Up Summer With Espresso Tonic Range

Coffee-first QSR brand introduces sparkling espresso beverages in collaboration with Schweppes India to tap evolving café culture and experimental consumer tastes

 

Third Wave Coffee has partnered with Schweppes India to launch a new range of espresso tonics, introducing a sparkling twist to India’s growing specialty coffee market.

The limited-edition summer lineup combines espresso with tonic-based mixers and includes three beverages — Espresso Turbo Tonic, Punchy Peach Espresso Tonic and Citrus Crush Espresso Tonic — aimed at consumers seeking experimental and refreshing café experiences.

The collaboration brings together Third Wave Coffee’s specialty coffee expertise and Schweppes’ premium mixer heritage, with both brands positioning the range as a contemporary summer beverage offering for café-goers.

Third Wave Coffee said the partnership reflects the changing role of cafés, which are increasingly becoming spaces for consumers to explore new flavours and premium beverage formats.

Rajat Luthra, CEO of Third Wave Coffee, said the espresso tonic range was designed to reimagine coffee consumption during summer by combining bold espresso flavours with sparkling mixers.

“Our collaboration with Schweppes India brings together two brands that share a common vision of crafting premium experiences for modern consumers. With this espresso tonic range, we wanted to reimagine how coffee can be enjoyed during summer by bringing together bold espresso notes with the crisp, lively character of sparkling mixers,” he said.

From Coca-Cola India, Sobhanjeet Rath, Senior Director, Marketing, said the collaboration extends Schweppes’ long-standing premium beverage legacy into the specialty coffee segment.

“This collaboration with Third Wave Coffee brings that legacy into an exciting new space, pairing the signature sparkle of Schweppes Tonic Water with the intensity of specialty espresso. It’s a bold new taste experience crafted for a discerning consumer,” Rath said.

The new menu features Espresso Turbo Tonic, which combines espresso with citrusy flavours and mint; Punchy Peach Espresso Tonic, blending peach and lime notes with espresso; and Citrus Crush Espresso Tonic, which mixes orange and grapefruit flavours with sparkling espresso tonic.

The espresso tonic range is priced from Rs 315 onwards and is available across Third Wave Coffee cafés in India.

Founded in 2016 by Sushant Goel, Anirudh Sharma and Ayush Bathwal, Third Wave Coffee has expanded to more than 220 cafés nationwide. The company has positioned itself as a coffee-first QSR brand focused on specialty beans, technology-enabled customer experiences and premium café offerings.

Schweppes, founded in 1783, is one of the world’s oldest premium sparkling beverage brands and currently offers tonic water, ginger ale, soda water and flavoured sparkling water variants in India.
