Ownly Goes Live On Rapido App To Leverage Parent’s Logistics Network

The company says that customers can now order from Ownly directly within the Rapido app alongside booking bike taxis, autos and cabs

Ownly, the standalone food delivery platform by Rapido, has marked its integration with the Rapido app, making its zero-commission food delivery service available to the monthly active Rapido users through a single, unified experience.

The integration of its parent brand significantly expands Ownly’s reach while leveraging Rapido’s logistics network to deliver a fast delivery experience. The company said that India’s ride-hailing user base is nearly twice the size of its online food ordering user base, a gap it sees as a meaningful opportunity to bring food delivery to consumers who already use Rapido for their mobility needs but have not yet used the app to order food.

The company added that customers can now order from Ownly directly within the Rapido app alongside booking bike taxis, autos and cabs. Ownly has positioned as a zero-commission model which is aimed at enabling restaurants to retain more of their earnings while offering customers fair menu prices free from hidden platform charges.

“Our zero-commission model has shown that restaurants can retain more of every order while customers enjoy honest pricing without hidden platform fees. Integrating with the Rapido app is an important step in taking this proposition to millions more users, while staying committed to building a food delivery ecosystem rooted in transparency, fairness and long-term sustainability,” stated Aravind Sanka, Co-founder, Rapido and Ownly.

By leveraging Rapido’s existing rider network, Ownly operates with structurally lower logistics costs, making the model sustainable without passing additional costs on to restaurants. This also strengthens the overall ecosystem by improving rider utilisation during off-peak mobility hours, the company claimed.
