BuyBuyCart To Roll Out 400 Smart Vending Machines

BuyBuyCart Pushes into Vending to Tap India’s On-the-Go Retail Shift

Targets 300–400 machines in first phase, focusing on high-footfall urban locations

BuyBuyCart is entering automated retail, with plans to deploy 300–400 smart vending machines within the year as it looks to tap into rising demand for quick, on-the-go purchases. The rollout will prioritise high-footfall locations such as corporate offices, IT parks, colleges, hospitals, fuel stations, residential societies and transport hubs.

The company is also exploring partnerships with educational institutions to expand its presence across campuses. The move aligns with a broader shift in urban consumption patterns, where convenience, speed and accessibility are increasingly shaping retail choices. Automated vending formats are gaining traction as an always-available alternative to traditional retail touchpoints, the company said.

BuyBuyCart’s machines are designed to function as 24/7 retail units, enabling contactless transactions through UPI, QR codes, debit and credit cards, and digital wallets. Each machine features a touchscreen interface for product selection and checkout.

The machines will offer a curated mix of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), including packaged snacks, beverages, ready-to-eat food, confectionery, personal care products and select grocery items, along with healthier options such as makhanas and dry fruits.

“Consumer expectations from retail are evolving rapidly, with convenience, speed, and accessibility becoming key priorities. Our vending machine initiative is designed to bring essential products closer to consumers through a smart, automated retail format that operates around the clock. Through this expansion, we aim to strengthen our technology-driven retail ecosystem while also enabling entrepreneurs to participate in the growing automated retail sector,” said Ashish Pandey, Founder, BuyBuyCart.

The expansion will be executed through a mix of franchise-owned (FOCO) and company-owned (COCO) models, enabling both the company and local entrepreneurs to participate in scaling the network. BuyBuyCart currently operates a network of franchise stores and quick-commerce services, and the addition of vending machines marks its entry into unattended retail formats.
