Ashwin Suryakant Dani, the Co-founder and Non-Executive Director of Asian Paints, the well-known company, has passed away at the age of 81 on Thursday.
“With deep regret, we inform you that Mr. Ashwin Dani, Non – Executive Director of the Company, left for heavenly abode today, on account of brief illness. Mr. Ashwin Dani was associated with the Company since 1968 and has been a strong force in heralding the Company to technological excellence,” the company said in an official statement.
Dani became a member of the company’s board in 1970 and worked as Vice Chairman and Managing Director from 1998 to 2009. Afterwards, he remained the integral part of Asian paints’s Board as the Non-executive Director & Vice Chairman.
“Mr. Ashwin Dani will always be remembered for his significant contributions to the Company.,” the company’s statement said.
