Jagatjit Industries Expands Portfolio With Premium Royal Pride Whisky

Jagatjit Industries Limited (JIL) has widened its product portfolio by introducing Royal Pride whisky in the premium segment, according to a media release.

Designed for the premium market, Royal Pride whisky aims to cater to diverse preferences and budgets, offering three distinct stock-keeping units (SKUs).

According to Roshini Sanah Jaiswal, the company’s promoter and executive director the new product has been introduced in Delhi and will sell through retail outlets and fine dining establishments across this market. Gradually, the firm will expand its presence across the country.

Presently, JIL has a market presence in 20 states across India, including Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan, Assam, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra.

The company operates in various business verticals, encompassing Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL)/Country Liquor (CL), Malted Milk Food, Malt Extract (producing Boost for Hindustan Unilever Limited under a contract), distillery operations for producing Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) used in alcoholic beverages and commercial real estate development.

In terms of financial performance for the last quarter, JIL said it has seen a growth of 42.42 per cent in the total revenue at Rs 181.17 crore in Q1 (June quarter) FY24 against the total revenue of Rs 127.21 crore in the same period of last fiscal.

The company’s net profit for June 2023 amounted to Rs 2.64 crore, a significant improvement from the net loss of Rs 4.40 crore reported in June 2022, as stated in their official statement.
