CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy says 1.4 million sellers are set to tap Flipkart’s festive commerce network as TBBD 2026 begins
Flipkart has kicked off the 13th edition of The Big Billion Days (TBBD) at its Bengaluru campus, bringing together senior leaders and employees ahead of the ecommerce major’s flagship festive shopping event.
The celebrations marked the beginning of Flipkart’s preparations for the peak festive shopping period, with the company highlighting the scale of its seller ecosystem, supply chain and frontline workforce.
Flipkart Group CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy said The Big Billion Days has evolved into a platform connecting customers and sellers at scale, with more than 1.4 million sellers participating in the festive season.
“The Big Billion Days has become a reflection of India’s growing aspirations, bringing together customers and sellers at a scale that is unique to our market. Over 1.4 million sellers across the country are looking to take their products to millions of customers through the reach and scale of our supply chain,” Krishnamurthy said.
He added that the event has expanded the participation of small businesses in digital commerce while increasing access to products for customers in smaller towns.
The kick-off brought together Flipkart leaders including Krishnamurthy; Ravi Iyer, SVP and CFO, Strategic Partnerships; Seema Nair, CHRO; Sakait Chaudhary, SVP and Head of Marketplace; Balaji Thiagarajan, CPTO; Hemant Badri, SVP and Head of Supply Chain; and Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer. Actor Aneet Padda also joined the celebrations at Flipkart’s Bengaluru campus.
The official flag-off for the festive delivery operations was led by Hemant Badri, with a convoy of Flipkart Wishmasters setting out as the company prepares for the expected surge in festive orders.
The scale of operations will extend across Flipkart’s fulfilment centres, sortation facilities and last-mile hubs, with thousands of frontline employees supporting order processing and deliveries during the peak period.
Focus On Frontline Workforce
Flipkart said it has introduced a range of employee engagement and support measures across its operations during the festive period. These include daily team huddles, milestone activities, local initiatives and employee recognition programmes.
The company has also put in place 24×7 medical support, dedicated rest areas, meals and refreshments, transport arrangements and safety measures for employees working across shifts.
Wellness activities, including meditation, mandala drawing, yoga and Zumba, are also being conducted at various locations.
At Flipkart’s ETV campus, the company has established a Mini Delivery Hub where employees can collect their Big Billion Days orders from the campus.
TBBD Expands Commerce And Delivery Network
The 2026 edition of The Big Billion Days will feature what Flipkart described as one of its largest festive selections, alongside record seller participation and AI-powered shopping experiences.
The company’s supply chain network spans Ekart and Flipkart Minutes and covers more than 8,200 fulfilment and delivery facilities across the country.
Early Access for Plus, BLACK and Flipkart credit card members began on October 8, ahead of the wider festive shopping period.
The scale-up comes as India’s e-commerce sector enters its critical festive sales window, with platforms and sellers seeking to capture higher consumer demand across metros as well as smaller cities and towns.
