Alia Bhatt’s conscious childrenswear brand introduces a seasonal collection focused on comfort, sustainability and playful summer dressing
Ed-a-Mamma, the sustainable clothing and lifestyle brand for children founded by actor and entrepreneur Alia Bhatt, has introduced its Spring-Summer 2026 collection, titled ‘Summer Stories’, as it strengthens its presence in India’s growing conscious childrenswear segment.
Designed around the spirit of summer childhood experiences, the new collection focuses on comfort, movement and ease, with garments made to suit warm-weather dressing and active lifestyles.
The range has been created for infants aged 0–4 years and children aged 4–14 years, featuring lightweight silhouettes and skin-friendly fabrics intended for Indian summer conditions. Airy cottons, textured knits and lightweight denims form the core of the collection.
The seasonal line has been divided into themed capsules, each reflecting a different summer mood. Citrus Bloom highlights vibrant colours and energetic tones, Little Skies explores softer palettes, Pixel Petals gives florals a contemporary update, while Tiny Tropic delivers bright holiday-inspired styles.
Maintaining the brand’s sustainability-led ethos, Ed-a-Mamma said the collection uses natural fabrics, AZO-free non-toxic dyes and GOTS-certified organic cotton for infant garments. Additional details include plastic-free buttons, nickel-free trims and recycled sewing threads.
The company added that its denim products are developed through Zero Liquid Discharge-compliant processes, aimed at reducing water use and minimising environmental impact.
Alia Bhatt, Founder of Ed-a-Mamma, said the collection was inspired by the joy and freedom of childhood summers.
She said: “This Spring Summer collection from Ed-a-Mamma is really about celebrating those little things that make childhood so magical. We wanted it to feel light, easy and full of personality, clothes that kids can actually live in… run around, explore, get messy and just be themselves.”
Beyond apparel, the brand said it continues to build sustainability-linked initiatives. For every babycare unit sold, Ed-a-Mamma supports the recovery of 0.5 kg of plastic waste through waste management efforts across India. Each garment also carries a #PlantABeej seedball, encouraging children to connect with nature through hands-on planting activities.
The company further noted that its packaging is biodegradable, while fabric scraps are repurposed into toys, potlis and keepsakes to minimise waste.
With the latest collection, Ed-a-Mamma is seeking to expand its appeal among parents increasingly prioritising sustainable, safe and comfortable clothing options for children.
The Summer Stories collection is available through the brand’s official website and flagship stores across Mumbai, Pune, Noida, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and Raipur.
