Recode Studios To Double Micro Operators After Rs 81 Cr FY26

Strong Tier II, III demand drives expansion of entrepreneur-led business model

Recode Studios has announced plans to double its Micro Business Operators (MBOs) to 2,000 from 1,000, following a strong financial performance in FY2025–26, during which the company crossed Rs 81 crore in revenue.

The expansion is aimed at strengthening the company’s footprint in emerging markets, particularly Tier II and Tier III cities, where it has witnessed a notable surge in demand. The move underscores the growing importance of decentralised, entrepreneur-led distribution models in India’s evolving retail landscape.

The company attributes its growth to its Micro Business Operator model, which enables individuals to operate as business partners under the Recode Studios brand. This approach has not only driven revenue but also helped build a wide network of grassroots entrepreneurs.

Commenting on the milestone, the company’s founder Dheeraj Bansal said that while the Rs 81 crore revenue mark is significant, the broader focus remains on enabling entrepreneurship at scale. The planned expansion to 2,000 MBOs is aligned with the company’s long-term vision of empowering individuals to build independent businesses.

Looking ahead, Recode Studios plans to invest further in strengthening its operational capabilities and digital infrastructure to support its growing network. The company also intends to deepen engagement with its MBO partners by equipping them with tools, resources and support systems to enhance business outcomes.

With a scalable model and rising demand from non-metro markets, the company is positioning itself for sustained growth while contributing to wider economic participation and job creation.
