Epack Durable Ups SDA Range With Infrared Cooktops To Diversify Revenue Streams

The company says that infrared cooktops are witnessing increasing adoption in India, driven by rising consumer preference for energy-efficient, portable and smokeless cooking solutions

Extending its induction cooktop category within electric cooking solutions, Epack Durable has expanded its small domestic appliances (SDA) range with the introduction of infrared cooktops. The company pointed out that infrared cooktops are witnessing increasing adoption in India, driven by rising consumer preference for energy-efficient, portable and smokeless cooking solutions.

The category is gaining traction in urban households, as consumers gradually shift from traditional gas-based cooking to electric alternatives that offer greater convenience, safety, and ease of use. Last year, the company strengthened its play in new-age electric appliances with its entry into the air fryer segment.

This addition marks a strategic step in strengthening the company’s non-room air conditioner (non-RAC) portfolio, aimed at diversifying revenue streams and reducing dependence on seasonal air conditioner demand. The move is expected to support improved capacity utilisation and contribute to more stable margins over the long term, the company highlighted.

“The introduction of infrared cooktops marks an important step in our ongoing efforts to strengthen our presence in the fast-growing small domestic appliances segment. Building on our leadership position in induction cooktops, this expansion within our electric cooking portfolio, including infrared cooktops, enables us to further deepen our presence in electric cooking solutions,” stated Ajay DD Singhania, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Epack Durable.
