MedPlus Q2 Profit Soars 43% on Expansion

Revenue up 6.5 per cent; Ebitda margin improves to 9.9 per cent in Q2 FY26 as private-label sales rise

MedPlus Health Services reported a sharp rise in quarterly earnings on Friday, driven by new store openings and growing demand for its private-label products.

The organised pharmacy chain posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 55.50 crore in Q2 FY26, up 43.3 per cent from Rs 38.7 crore in Q2 FY25. Revenue from operations increased 6.5 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,679.33 crore.

Profit before tax rose 44.3 per cent to Rs 68.94 crore, while Ebitda climbed 22.28 per cent to Rs 166.3 crore from Rs 136 crore a year earlier. The Ebitda margin improved to 9.9 per cent in Q2 FY26 from 8.6 per cent in Q2 FY25.

On the business front, revenue from the retail segment grew 6.34 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,645.64 crore. Diagnostic services also delivered strong growth, with revenue rising 17.45 per cent to Rs 33.25 crore during the quarter.

For the first half of FY26, MedPlus reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 97.86 crore, an increase of 84.3 per cent over the year-ago period, on a 5.1 per cent rise in revenue from operations to Rs 3,221.96 crore.

The company, which operates a network of more than 4,200 pharmacies across India, continues to expand its reach into smaller towns and aims to open around 600 new stores by the end of this fiscal year. MedPlus operates across retail and wholesale, imports and distribution, manufacturing and contract manufacturing of private-label pharmaceuticals, wellness and FMCG products, and runs full-service diagnostic centres.

The stock closed 0.91 per cent higher at Rs 762.90 on the BSE on Friday.
