Nando’s, K Hospitality Corp Partner To Open 150 Restaurants In India

The partnership is to bring its flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken to new cities in India, starting with Hyderabad

Nando’s partnered with Indian food company, K Hospitality Corp to open 150 restaurants over the next decade, according to a media release. Collaborating with K Hospitality Corp, Nando’s India aims to expand into new cities.

The first Nando’s outlet under this joint venture is scheduled to launch in Hyderabad within a few weeks. John Sikiotis, CEO – Licensed Markets & India, Nando’s, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “Selling spicy, flavourful food to the food-loving nation that invented it is no easy feat. But with their deep market knowledge, we are incredibly excited to welcome K Hospitality Corp as our joint venture partner into the family.”

Nando’s has over 1200 restaurants across 22 countries in five continents and is looking to expand its customer base in India through a new partnership. Karan Kapur, executive director for K Hospitality Corp, highlighted the commonalities between the two partners, stating, “As brands and businesses, both partners have a lot in common, which not only includes an insatiable taste for Nando’s signature flame-grilled PERI-PERi chicken but also an equally strong passion for hospitality and people.”

Sameer Bhasin, CEO of Nando’s India, emphasised the importance of people in the brand, saying, “It’s not just about the chicken, it’s also very much about the people who make the chicken.” The partnership between Nando’s and K Hospitality Corp is ready to expand Nando’s footprint across various cities in India in the next ten years.
