Pepe Jeans London has informed that Rakesh Jallipally has joined as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for its India business. Jallipally brings over 18 years of leadership experience in the fashion, retail and consumer tech industries.
Throughout his career, he has successfully led high-growth businesses, driven market expansion, and led brand transformations with a focus on strategic planning and operational excellence, the company said in a statement.
“We are pleased to announce, Rakesh Jallipally has joined Pepe Jeans India as Chief Executive Officer. Rakesh brings over 18 years of leadership experience in the fashion, retail and consumer tech industries,” the official statement noted.
Before joining Pepe Jeans India, Jallipally served as Vice President at Flipkart, where he introduced and scaled the Gen Z fashion platform Spoyl and led the men’s fashion vertical. He also played a pivotal role in introducing Azorte at Reliance Retail.
“With a dynamic vision and passion for innovation, Rakesh brings years of leadership experience in driving brand growth and retail excellence. His leadership perfectly aligns with our commitment to style, quality and strategic expansion,” Pepe Jeans India said.
Jallipally spent nearly a decade at Arvind Fashions in CEO and Chief Operating Officer (COO) roles, driving the transformation of brands like USPA and Flying Machine, the company’s statement emphasised. He began his career at Raymond, managing retail operations across South India.
The new CEO holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow, with a specialisation in marketing and strategy. The company said that it is confident in his ability to lead its India business into its next phase of growth.
