The company’s net profit dipped to Rs 355 crore in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2025 (Q4FY25) from Rs 379.82 crore in Q4FY24
On account of softening urban demand and intensified competition, Colgate-Palmolive (India) saw a 6 per cent year-on-year (YoY) dip in its net profit in the fourth quarter of the financial year (Q4FY25). The net profit declined to Rs 355 crore in Q4FY25 from Rs 379.82 crore in Q4FY24.
The financial results of the company revealed that the revenue from operations dipped to Rs 1,452.02 crore in the recently concluded quarter from Rs 1,480.66 crore in Q4FY24. In FY25, the company reported an increase in revenue from operations, which stood at Rs 5,999.20 crore in FY25 as compared to Rs 5,644.18 crore in FY24.
“Our toothbrush portfolio delivered another year of robust growth. Our margin profile remains healthy and resilient, underpinned by effective execution of our funding the growth program, “stated Prabha Narasimhan, Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Colgate-Palmolive (India).
FY25 domestic net sales growth was reported at 5.6 per cent. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of Rs 1,452 crore as compared to Rs 1,481 crore for the same period last year.
Dividend Declared
The Board declared a second interim dividend of Rs 27 per share of Rs 1 each (face value). The dividend payout to the shareholders will be Rs 734 Crore and will be paid on or after 16 June 16 2025 to those shareholders whose names are on the register of members of the company as on 28 May 2025. The total dividend would be Rs 51 per share for the year 2024-25, the company stated in the exchange filing.
Looking forward, while the anticipates continued near-term macro headwinds, it expects to see a gradual recovery in market conditions in the latter part of the year.
