Opens 11 new outlets in one day, including first café on Delhi–Mumbai Expressway
India’s rapidly growing coffee-first QSR chain, Third Wave Coffee, has crossed a key milestone in its nationwide expansion, launching 11 new cafés in a single day across major cities including Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Mysuru, and its first highway café on the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway. With this, the brand now operates 165 cafés across 12 cities.
This expansion comes on the back of its successful 150-store milestone achieved in FY25, reinforcing its stronghold in established metros like Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, while deepening its footprint in high-potential, emerging hubs such as Mysuru and Chennai.
Commenting on the company’s growth trajectory, Rajat Luthra, CEO of Third Wave Coffee, said, “Over the last few years, our focus has been on building a business that scales sustainably — with sharp attention to store-level profitability, operational efficiency, and capital discipline. We recently commissioned a new roastery with 8× automation capability, boosting our capacity to support up to 700 stores. These efforts are fuelling better unit economics and a more disciplined, scalable growth model.”
Founded in 2015 by Sushant Goel, Anirudh Sharma, and Ayush Bathwal, Third Wave Coffee has emerged as a trailblazer in India’s café culture — recognised for its commitment to quality, innovation, and a customer-first approach.
With plans to open 100+ new cafés in FY26, Third Wave Coffee is actively pursuing new neighbourhoods and transit locations, aiming to meet customers “where they are” while delivering a consistent, high-quality coffee experience.
“Whether in cities or now on the move, we’re expanding with a strong lens on profitability and customer experience,” added Luthra.
