BigBasket, a grocery e-tailer, has created a new frozen food brand called Precia in conjunction with chef Sanjeev Kapoor, according to a press statement issued on Tuesday.
Precia will provide three product categories: frozen veggies, frozen nibbles, and frozen sweets, according to the statement.
“We aim to redefine the landscape, meeting the growing demand for convenient, high-quality meal solutions. Our goal of INR 100 crore in online sales by 2026 underscores our belief in Precia’s potential and our commitment to continuous growth,” said Hari Menon, CEO and co-founder, BigBasket.
According to the release, India’s frozen food market is expected to reach USD 4.5 billion over the next five years, rising at a CAGR of 16 percent.
Big Basket, a Tata firm, is an online grocery brand with operations in over 300 locations throughout India.
