Burger Singh Expands To Dehradun Airport

India’s largest homegrown burger brand scales up presence at key transit hubs with compact, high-efficiency kiosks targeting fast-growing travel markets

Burger Singh, India’s leading homegrown burger chain, has launched its newest outlet at Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun. This marks the brand’s second airport outlet and fifth location in Uttarakhand, signalling a strategic push into high-footfall transit hubs across emerging cities.

The latest store is based on the brand’s efficient kiosk model, designed for high-volume service in space-constrained environments. This lean and cost-effective format aligns with Burger Singh’s mission to scale its footprint across airports, highways, hospitals, and educational institutions without the heavy overheads associated with traditional quick-service restaurants (QSRs).

“Our airport strategy is rooted in high-throughput, low-capex formats that allow us to rapidly scale in fast-growing micro markets,” said Kabir Jeet Singh, Founder & CEO of Burger Singh. “With increased mobility in Tier 2 and 3 cities, airports are becoming significant touchpoints for brand visibility, top-line growth, and consumer acquisition.”

The launch in Dehradun is part of a broader rollout that will soon include outlets at airports in Ranchi, Mangalore, Jammu, Vadodara, Bhopal, Surat, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Rajkot, Imphal, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, Chandigarh, Indore, and Varanasi. This ambitious plan underlines the brand’s commitment to harnessing the potential of India’s evolving transportation infrastructure.

The Dehradun outlet not only improves accessibility to Burger Singh’s offerings for domestic travellers, but also contributes to the local economy by generating both direct and indirect employment. Through its franchise-first model, the brand offers entrepreneurial opportunities to local stakeholders, further embedding itself within the region’s economic fabric.

Currently operating 175+ outlets across more than 75 Indian cities — including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Shillong, and Nagpur — Burger Singh is on track to scale to over 300 outlets by the end of FY26. Its expansion is supported by a sub-Rs 20 lakh capex model, an agile supply chain, and strong regional partnerships.

Founded in Gurugram in 2014, Burger Singh has carved out a niche in India’s QSR segment by positioning itself as the only Made-in-India burger chain capable of competing with global giants. Its success has not been limited to India; the brand also boasts a growing international presence with three outlets and a food truck in London.

With a recent pre-series B funding round valuing the company at Rs 430 crore, Burger Singh is well-poised to dominate India’s fast-growing burger market while continuing to champion indigenous innovation and entrepreneurial inclusion.
