US-born ready-to-drink brand debuts in Bengaluru with India-exclusive variants, targeting young, social drinkers
Global ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail brand BuzzBallz has entered the Indian spirits market, launching three India-exclusive flavours as it looks to tap into the country’s growing appetite for convenient, flavour-forward alcoholic beverages.
The US-born brand, known for its brightly coloured, ball-shaped packaging, has rolled out Berry Lemon Squeeze, Strawberry Squeeze and Chilli Guava Groove, flavours developed to reflect Indian consumers’ preference for bold and vibrant taste combinations. The launch begins in Bengaluru this December, with further expansion planned across key markets, including Goa, in early 2026.
Each BuzzBallz variant is available in a 180 ml single-serve pack with a 15 per cent alcohol by volume (ABV), positioning the product as a bar-strength yet easy-to-drink option for social occasions ranging from casual gatherings to festive celebrations. The products are priced at Rs 100 per unit, targeting accessibility and impulse consumption within the premium RTD segment.
“BuzzBallz is the number one selling single-serve premixed cocktail in the US,” said Jess Scheerhorn, Vice President, BuzzBallz. “Following successful expansion into markets such as the UK, Ireland and Mexico, India is a natural next step. Interest in new and interesting spirits and cocktails is already buzzing, and we believe this is the right time to shake up the RTD shelf with innovative flavours and no-fuss fun.”
The brand’s entry comes as India’s RTD and flavoured spirits category continues to gain momentum, driven by younger legal-age consumers, urbanisation and changing social drinking habits. Industry observers note that convenience, flavour innovation and distinctive packaging are increasingly shaping purchasing decisions in the segment.
BuzzBallz’ India portfolio includes Berry Lemon Squeeze, a tangy berry-lemon blend; Strawberry Squeeze, combining strawberry and citrus notes; and Chilli Guava Groove, a sweet-spicy flavour aimed at adventurous palates. The company said the variants are designed to be consumed straight from the pack, eliminating the need for mixers or preparation.
Founded in 2009, BuzzBallz has established itself as a category leader in the US RTD cocktail market, with its signature spherical packaging and bar-strength offerings suited to on-the-go consumption. With its India debut, the brand is seeking to build awareness through on-ground availability and social media engagement via its local Instagram handle @BuzzBallz_india, as it positions itself as a new party staple in the country’s evolving alcohol landscape.
