As part of this expansion, Medusa Beverages will introduce two of its flagship stock-keeping units (SKUs) including Medusa Premium and Medusa Air
Medusa Beverages, a beer brand, has marked its strategic expansion into the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. The company will brew its products locally within the respective markets through strategic brewing partnerships and launch its portfolio across Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain, strengthening its presence in international markets.
As part of this expansion, Medusa Beverages will introduce two of its flagship stock-keeping units (SKUs) including Medusa Premium and Medusa Air. The products will be distributed primarily through off-trade routes, targeting retail channels such as supermarkets, bottle shops and licensed retail outlets.
This expansion comes at a time when the GCC market is witnessing strong demand and the alcobev market is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of around 7.5 per cent through 2030, reaching up to USD 15.2 billion by 2032, the company said. Key trends include a surge in premiumisation, with demand for high-end spirits, wines, and craft beers.
“Our entry into the GCC marks an important step in Medusa’s international journey. We are approaching these markets with a structured and measured strategy, building local brewing capabilities, establishing the right partnerships, and laying the foundation for long-term growth. The region presents strong potential given the increasing demand for premium global brands,” stated Amardeep Singh, Executive Director, Medusa Beverages.
The official statement noted that the GCC foray represents a strategic pilot phase for Medusa Beverages as it evaluates long-term opportunities in the region. The company aims to assess consumer response, build distribution partnerships, and establish brand visibility in key markets before scaling operations further.
With the GCC rollout, the company aims to replicate this growth trajectory internationally by investing in strong distribution networks, market-specific retail strategies, and long-term brand visibility.
