The smooth, lighter Blonde Roast now available nationwide with no extra charge, as Starbucks celebrates personalisation and flavour innovation
Starbucks India has launched its globally popular Blonde Espresso Roast, a smooth and vibrant alternative to traditional dark roast, now available at all stores across India with no additional charge for customisation.
Crafted from 100 per cent Arabica beans sourced from Latin America and East Africa, the Blonde Roast is lightly roasted to bring out mellow citrusy notes and a smooth finish. It’s designed for those who enjoy a lighter, more approachable coffee without compromising on quality or flavour.
The Blonde Roast serves as a versatile base for a wide range of beverages — hot or iced. It complements milk-based favourites like cappuccinos, Americanos, flat whites, and lattes. It also works particularly well with plant-based options such as oat and almond milk, enhancing their natural sweetness for a soft, rounded flavour.
Sushant Dash, CEO, Tata Starbucks, said, “India’s coffee culture is undergoing a bold transformation. With Blonde Roast, customers can explore new flavour profiles and personalise their cup freely, with no added complexity. This is about more than just taste — it’s about individuality and a deeper connection to coffee.”
Blonde Roast Day & Monsoon Specials
To mark the launch, Blonde Roast Day will be celebrated on 5th July across select Starbucks stores in India. This event highlights Starbucks’ focus on evolving consumer tastes and empowering customers to define their own coffee experience.
Alongside the launch, Starbucks India is also introducing two monsoon specials crafted with Blonde Espresso:
Pecan Iced Shaken Espresso: A double shot of Blonde Espresso shaken with ice, pecan-flavoured syrup, and topped with oat milk — delivering nutty, cinnamon-rich notes.
Date Cortado: Blonde Ristretto paired with steamed milk and date-flavoured sauce, finished with date powder — offering a warm, subtly sweet twist.
The introduction of Blonde Espresso aligns with Starbucks’ ongoing promise of coffee customisation and innovation. It aims to broaden flavour options for India’s increasingly discerning coffee drinkers.
