Launch marks a new phase of growth in southern india
Starbucks India has launched its first drive-thru store in Bengaluru’s Electronic City, a key residential and technology hub. This milestone marks the company’s 50th store in the city, reinforcing India’s significance as one of Starbucks’ fastest-growing global markets.
Designed to offer the signature Starbucks Third Place experience, the store features bilingual English-Kannada signage, community-inspired interiors, and a mix of indoor and outdoor seating. The menu includes Starbucks’ premium Arabica coffee, alongside local favourites like masala chai and filter coffee.
Since its first store in Koramangala in 2013, Starbucks has established a strong presence across Bengaluru, with key locations including Vittal Mallya Road, Prestige Trade Tower, and Phoenix Marketcity. TATA Starbucks aims to deepen its regional presence with locally inspired store formats and experiences. Later this year, the company will also introduce a Starbucks Reserve store in Bengaluru.
With over 600 partners (baristas) in Bengaluru, including three all-women stores and one signing store operated by specially-abled partners, Starbucks continues to focus on community engagement. The new drive-thru store will be staffed by 12 partners and serve as a crucial part of the brand’s regional expansion strategy.
“Bengaluru has played a pivotal role in our India journey and continues to be a key market as we expand across the country. The opening of our 50th store and first drive-thru in the city exemplifies our commitment to accessibility and convenience. As we grow, our focus remains on locally relevant formats and a beverage portfolio that reflects evolving Indian consumer preferences. We are committed to strengthening our presence in a sustainable and meaningful way,” said Sushant Dash, CEO of TATA Starbucks.
