Subway Global Celebrates Milestone With 850th Store In India

The newly inaugurated outlet features Subway’s modernised store design and introduces innovative menu offerings tailored to Indian tastes, including the Hot and Cheesy Signature Subs

 

Subway Global achieved a significant milestone with the opening of its 850th store in India. The event, held in Gurugram, marked the first visit of John Chidsey, Global CEO of Subway, to India since the brand partnered with Culinary Brands.
India has become one of Subway’s fastest-growing international markets, with the QSR giant planning to dominate the country’s Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sector within the next decade. The newly inaugurated outlet features Subway’s modernised store design and introduces innovative menu offerings tailored to Indian tastes, including the Hot and Cheesy Signature Subs with 1.5x filling and a Breakfast Special sandwich menu with coffee, available at select locations.
“Today’s restaurant opening marks a major moment for the brand’s growth in India, where we continue to see huge demand,” said Chidsey. “Everstone has demonstrated exceptional leadership in implementing our latest culinary and digital initiatives, elevating the overall customer experience.”
Subway has seen a surge in new restaurant openings globally, with India standing out as a key growth market. The brand is on track to double its new openings in 2024, underscoring its international expansion efforts.
